SK Telecom, CGV launch mobile ticketless service

SK Telecom and CJ CGV, the multiplex theater chain of CJ Entertainment, jointly start Moneta M-Ticket service, the companies announced Sunday, reports Seong-ju Lee for Telecoms Korea.

"To use Moneta M-Ticket service which is available for any SKT subscriber with Moneta chip, customers have only to bring their phone to movie theatre so that they can enjoy the one-stop service from reservation to entry into the theatre.

Once the reservation has been made through fixed line or wireless Internet, customers can enter the theatre by holding their handset to RF reader at the entrance. Then the customers can check their seat number in the SMS sent to their handset."
