Australia's Labor Sets SMS Price Inquiry In Telco Charter

Australia's main opposition Labor Party has pledged to make telephone contracts fairer and set up an inquiry into short messaging service, or SMS, charges in a telecommunications charter released Monday, reports Cellular News.

"The policy is likely to elevate telecommunications as an election issue in a campaign that has been focused on national security, education, health and the economy."
