Nuggets.net: SMS search engine
Language technology company Linguit has announced the UK-wide launch of Nuggets.net, an automatic question answering service for mobile phone users based on SMS technology, cf company press release.
"A question sent to the UK phone number 88600 via SMS gets answered for a fee by the software within seconds. The Nuggets service is intended to empower mobile (ordinary GSM phone) users, who might not have Internet access by other means.
Nuggets searches Internet indices and uses techniques from Natural Languages Processing (NLP) to extract answers from them."
