Football Fans Use SMS To Pick Top Players

Cingular Wireless announced that it is teaming with ESPN and ABC Sports to provide cell phone users with the ability to vote via text messaging for their top All American Player every week, reports Wireless Week.

"But unlike other promotions, such as the "American Idol" text message voting campaign, which was limited to only subscribers of AT&T Wireless, Cingular says that this promotion is open to subscribers from all other wireless networks."
