Flashmobbing - the opera

The BBC is to risk the wrath of commuters by staging a live "flashmob" opera at one of Britain's busiest railway stations, reports this is london via near near future.

A 65-strong concert orchestra and three opera singers will suddenly strike up unannounced.

Selected members of the public will be contacted on the day of the broadcast via text message and asked to form a "flashmob" by turning up en masse and forming a chorus.

The exact venue and date are being kept secret until the last possible moment in order to create a bigger shock for unsuspecting commuters.
