Jail threat to phone drivers
In Australia, repeat offenders caught talking on mobile phones while driving could soon face a maximum two-year jail term, reports News.com.
"The penalty for driving while using a mobile telephone in the Territory is $70.
But Road Safety Superintendent Peter Gordon told the Northern Territory News yesterday police would investigate repeat offenders.
They could face a charge of driving in a dangerous manner _ which carries a potential jail term of two years."
