Road Tunnels get GSM Coverage

Customers of Italy's three GSM network operators can now use their phones while traveling through the motorway network of the Great St. Bernard tunnel. Total coverage of the tunnel (5800 metres), has been completed on both the Italian and the Swiss side, reports Cellular News.

"The opportunity to use the cellphones within the tunnel increases the conditions of safety of travellers and improves their comfort."
