SMS fear as female road deaths soar
Police are at a loss to explain a 47 per cent increase in the number of women killed on Victoria's roads this year compared with the same period in 2003. One possible explanation has to do with mobile phones, reports The Age from Australia.
"The RACV's head of public policy, Ken Ogden said he had no explanation for the increase in the number of female fatalities this year, but said issues such as mobile phones and text messaging could be factors."
