Over 3 million i-mode users outside Japan

imode.jpg i-mode users outside of Japan exceeded three million at the end of June. That's one million more than four months ago, reports near near future.

"i-mode operators outside of Japan: BASE (Belgium), Bouygues Telecom (France), E-Plus (Germany), Far EasTone Telecommunications (Taiwan), KPN Mobile (The Netherlands), Telefónica Móviles (Spain), WIND (Italy), and COSMOTE (Greece), with Australian operator Telstra joigning the i-mode alliance by the end of this year.

i-mode subscribers world wide, including Japan, have now reached 44.7million, making it the most popular mobile internet service in the world."
