Previous record holder challenges speed text champion

head_02.jpg A text messaging fight looks likely to break out, following the new world record set by Singaporean Kimberly Yeo, reports Straits Times.

Following up on Yeo's world texting record, six New Zealand College students attempted - and failed to beat the 26-word message record and now, according to the Straits Times, "the previous record holder, British James TruslerJames Trusler, says he is 'positive' he can beat the record.

The 30-year-old network engineer, who works at mobile phone company Vodaphone Australia, set the Guinness World Record of 67 seconds last September on a live television show in Sydney.

Miss Yeo, who was overseas on holiday reponded - by SMS of course - to Mr Trusler's dare, saying: 'I'm not worried. If he breaks it, good for him.' But she won't say if she'd take him on.
