Students take on world texting record

Following up on Singaporean Kimberly Yeo's world texting record, six New Zealand College student attempted to beat it by typing the same 26-word message “The razor-toothed piranhas of the genera Serrasalmus and Pygocentrus are the most ferocious freshwater fish in the world. In reality they seldom attack a human”, in less than Yeo's 43.26 seconds.

Shelley Smith came closest, posting a time of 68 seconds, according to The Ashburton Guardian.
