Switch on your mobile
It looks like you won't be asked to turn off your cell phone in movie theaters anymore if advertisers have their way. According to a post in near near future this morning, gamewriter Charlie Salem is suggesting that viewers engage in prize winning mobile games during TV commcericals or intermission breaks at the movies.
The Guardian contacted three ad agencies and they were unanimous - getting people to text or indeed do anything other than look at the screen during an ad break is counterproductive.
But the American television industry seems interested.
