New move for chess: mobile phone games

Chess may be the proverbial game of kings, but the World Chess Federation has now sanctioned it as a game for mobile phone users, reports the International Herald Tribune.

"The federation, known as FIDE for its French initials, last week selected a Scottish-Russian company to administer the official phone games, provide the software and oversee fees".
