Sun powering mobile phone base
What is said to be Australia's first solar powered mobile phone base station has started transmitting from Roebuck Plains in Western Australia's Kimberley region, according to ABC.net.au.
"The new system extends hand-held mobile phone coverage from Broome, 200 kilometres towards Port Hedland, and 100 kilometres towards Derby".
