Sound of the Skies, In Your Cell

A very interesting art project, akin to listening to the sound inside the sea-shells...Cellphones are going to be used in an interactive art project in London next month when 1000 balloons are floated over Greenwich and set to change colours based on calls from cell phone users on the ground. Sky Ear will be a one-night event in which a glowing "cloud" of mobile phones and helium balloons is released into the air so that people can dial into the cloud and listen to the sounds of the sky.

The event will also be webcast, so tune in here
