Aussie Restaurants face Fines on SMS Spam
Australian restaurants which use mobile phone numbers taken to confirm bookings could be fined more than AUS $1 million if they use them to send promotional text messages. The fines were part of anti-spam laws which went into effect this weekend, and would be policed by the Australian Communications Authority.
