Free guide to SMS regulations in European countries

A new guide, Developing the Multimedia Mobile Market, published by Netsize, outlines the regulations for running mobile marketing campaigns in 21 European countries.

It has been published to help marketers understand the changing landscape, according to Revolution Magazine.

"Among the regulations it outlines:

-- The German law that forbids companies to promote any adult service in a medium that targets young people,

- That in Norway an alert message must be sent to the consumer once they have received 10 premium SMS messages.

Netsize said that there are more than 400m mobile users in Europe and the average mobile penetration rate reached 83% last year.
