Results of Turkish elections by SMS

Next Sunday's Turkish election results will be broadcasted by text messaging, reports Zaman Online.

"Cihan News Agency has reached an agreement with Aria, Aycell, Telsim and Turkcell to allow the broadcasting of Election results by SMS".

The local election results - for an estimated 3,300 candidates seeking election as mayors and local councillors in Turkey - will be sent via SMS after polls have closed in the cities and counties where the elections will be held.
