Motorola Unveils a Model Designed for Jet-Setters

Following AT&T signing deals with European operators, enabling their customers to text message to Europe, Motorola just unveiled a new model that would allow many U.S. travelers to use their phones throughout Western Europe, vast parts of Asia and Latin America.

Samsung also showed off a similar phone that it says will be available this spring, according to the WSJ.

"About 75 million U.S. cellphone subscribers use so-called CDMA technology, whereas most of the rest of the world has opted for a technology referred to as GSM".
