Texting bosses fail to impress
In another enlightening survey, the Scotsman reports on an employer/employee text related study - with a twist!
Following last weeks stories: Street slang makes youths 'unemployable' and Text messaging is affecting the communication skills of business people, this study reports that candidates are turning down job offers "because their prospective employers have failed to impress them at interviews by using bad language, flirting or eating, or texting".
"Many jobseekers complained that firms failed to make enough effort at interviews, leaving them hanging around or being badly prepared.
One boss took three personal phone calls and dictated two letters during an interview, while another was constantly texting on his mobile phone".
