Cell phone witness to home invasion

A woman's conversation with a friend on her cell phone may have saved her life as she was ambushed by armed robbers Wednesday night. according to The Miami Herald.

The woman was talking on the phone to a friend when two armed masked men forced her inside her home, where they tied her up as well as her husband and beat them up, demanding to know where they kept their money.

The woman's cell phone was still on and her friend hearing the whole ordeal called police. A SWAT team was dispatched to the home rescued the couple.
