England footballer Stan Collymore caught "dogging"
The former England footballer Stan Collymore has been dropped by the BBC after he admitted trawling car parks for casual sex, reports The Times Online.
"Collymore said that he was a participant in a sexual activity known as "dogging", in which strangers meet to observe or take part in sexual encounters. He had been ensnared by a tabloid newspaper.
Per a BBC article posted last September, the internet and text messaging were blamed to be fuelling "dogging", a practice which involves unprotected sex with strangers in public parks, a craze partially responsible for rises in chlamydia, HIV, syphilis and hepatitis.
"Dogging is an extension of "swinging" parties - and involves exhibitionist sex in semi-secluded locations such as car parks or country parks. The location of dogging "events" is now frequently advertised on websites or communicated via mobile phone text message". cf Texting can lead to sex disease.
