USA : «Rock the Mobile Vote»
Something for the text messaging history books. Politics by mobile phone are finally hitting the US , according to an article in InfoSyncWorld, as Rock The Vote (RTV) and Motorola become involved in an effort "to excite, educate and engage 18- to 30-year-olds across the United States for the 2004 elections. Their tool of choice is the mobile handset. The joint effort is called “Rock the Mobile Vote.”
"For the first time we're giving young people the opportunity to mobilize their voice in a new way using a very familiar vehicle, – the mobile phone, said Jehmu Greene, president of Rock the Vote. The new Rock the Mobile Vote campaign hands influential young adults the power to remain politically engaged and connected while-on-the-go.”
In their own words
Rock the Vote and Motorola will grant you entry into the first-ever community of citizens who will be politically connected virtually anywhere, anytime throughout this election year.
