'Spam' Coming To Cell Phone Text Messaging
Some cell phone customers thought they could escape unwanted spam solicitations by taking their e-mail correspondence from the computer to text messaging services. But a new technology quickly is being adopted by spammers to send advertisements to cell phones, Dallas television station KXAS reported, via TheCarolineChannel.com.
"Typically, text messaging is fast, convenient and inexpensive. A new Web site, Teleflip.com, claims to make sending messages even easier.
The Web site, however, also helps spammers send out more solicitations faster, more conveniently and cheaper".
