According to the Herald Sun, Australian network operator Telstra expects Valentine's day to be its busiest day for processing SMS messages after Christmas and New Year. "More than 8 million love-laden text messages are expected to be sent by Telstra customers this year, up from 5.7 million last year".

"Picture and ringtone downloads such as love hearts and songs like When A Man Loves A Woman are also popular. Telstra expects the number of customers downloading love-themed icons and ringtones to more than double to 3000 this Valentine's Day".

And SMS valentine messages sent by viewers, will air on Valentine's Day Live on FOX8, between episodes of hit shows such as Buffy, Angel and The Simpsons.
