Korea: 25 Spammers Given Fines for First Time
The Fair Trade Commission (Korea) said on Monday that it slapped fines ranging between 1 million to 7 million won on 25 spammers that violated the E-Commerce Consumer Protection Law, according to the Korea Times.
Two of the 25 spammers were obscene adult phone service companies who were fined 5 million won each for sending both mobile spam, advertisements via SMS or phone calls, and spam mail through the Internet.
