GSMA campaigns on global scale

The GSM Association (GSMA) is launching a global, multi-million pound marketing campaign next year to raise awareness of GSM and 3G services across the world, according to Mobile Today.

"The mobile operators and manufacturers behind the GSMA aim to raise awareness of services such as roaming, SMS, photo messaging and 3G, across several continents using TV and print advertising, direct marketing and POS material.

The campaign will have the theme, ‘Celebrating one billion connected people worldwide' – the billionth GSM customer is expected to be connected some time in Q1 next year.

It will target users, trade channels, financial and media communities and ‘decision makers' in Government".
