Anxious youngsters jam up website and SMS server
As of December 8, Malaysians born in 1986 have been able find out if they have been selected for national service via a short messaging service (SMS) sent to the National Service Department.
And today The Star reports that, "youngsters, their parents and extended relatives, eager to find out if they had been picked for national service, have “jammed up” the national service website and also the national SMSserver.
More than 110,000 people had sent SMS via all the major telecommunication service providers, according to a spokesperson for the National Service Department (NSD).
