Queen of England sends text message invitation
England's World Cup winning Rugby team knew they were in for a royal reception on their return home because Queen Elizabeth invited them to tea by text message, reports The Courrier-Mail
"Martin Johnson, Jonny Wilkinson and co. were due to take tea with the queen at Buckingham Palace this morning after their victory parade through the streets of London.
The players had first learned of the invitation as a result of a text the queen sent to her grandson Prince Harry just minutes after Wilkinson's drop goal clinched their final victory over Australia.
Harry told BBC Radio, 'I've just got a text from my nan and she wants to give you a party.'
