Police bid to cut phone robberies

According to the London Metropolitan police, about 50% of all street crime involves mobile phones, reports the BBC.

A "Safer Streets" initiative, launched in 2001 is rolling out again, with 1,000 police officers hitting high streets across London, to offer a property marking service and advice about keeping mobiles safe.
