Indian Advertisers Take SMS Seriously
Companies in India have started taking SMS as a serious advetising tool: big multinationsl such as Smirnoff, Lufthansa, and Standard Chartered are now providing ad messages and services to their customers via SMS, according to Mid-Day.
SMS traffic for the leading cellular operators in India has jumped to more than 7 million messages every day, and growing at the rate of 15-20 percent per month.
