BMG supplies SMS updates to retailers
In another example of business gets the message, record company giant BMG is offering retail partners a free text-message service with up-to-date sales information, reports Revolution.
BMS's artists range from Britney Spears to Cooper Temple Clause, and by alerting music retailers to relevant last-minute data on releases, such as new catalogue numbers, by text message, they aim to improve relationships and help them run their business better. The new business service is called «Extratext».
