Senior Citizen's Awards voting by SMS

This year for the first, the public will play a deciding role in the Senior Citizen's Awards since it was launched three years ago in Singapore.

Over the next 2 weeks, 4 finalists from each of the 2 categories - Grandparent of the Year and Active Senior Citizen of the Year - will be profiled in the media, in posters and online.

The public can vote for any of the finalists through a voting hotline phone number, the Senior Citizens Awards website, and by text messaging.

This story caught my eye because Senior citizens were involved in an SMS project and that premium text messaging - such as voting - is always a good way of bringing income to a campaign.
