Cell phone mural in Manila

mural.jpg A mural in Manila which memorializes the uprising and the importance of cell phones in sparking the popular revolt.

It was a link in a Wired article By Julia Scheeres on activists around the world relying on new technologies.

The picture comes from a site called Seeing is Believing which is an absolute bookmark!. It adresses how new technologies affect societies and how societies affect technologies.

Two collections of stories explore the synergy of technology and culture.

And a clickable map allows to uncover how cell phones are changing the world everywhere.
