The New York Times offers news for mobile phones

The New York Times has teamed up with Vindigo to offer its news service through Verizon Wireless on the mobile phones, according to Rafat Ali on Moco News.

"The new subscription service, priced at $3.75 monthly access, is available to Verizon Wireless customers with its multi-media capable "Get It Now" phones and will soon be accessible through Samsung and Motorola models.

The mobile version provides full text of most of each day's newspaper...subscribers can also e-mail articles to friends and download New York Times color photos to use as wallpaper on their phones".
