US Mobile market sees strong growth

Growth in the U.S. wireless industry was strong in the first half of 2003, as more consumers used their cell phones to make calls, send short-text messages, and surf the Internet, a study said Wednesday, according to News.com.

"Total revenue from wireless services for the first six months rose nearly 13 percent to $41.4 billion from a year ago, while revenue from data services rose 70 percent to $700 million, according to the Cellular Telecommunications & Internet Association's semiannual wireless industry survey."
