It's good to text, says survey

Mobile phone users in the UK are sending an average eight text messages a day - or almost 250 a month, according to a new survey, reports Ananova.

The poll of 1,000 readers also looked at the reasons texters give for sending messages:

- Almost 4 in 10 said they have sent a text of a sexual nature - up from 21% last year,

- 22% have dumped a partner by text,

- 27% have sent a personal text to the wrong person.
