3G phone industry downplays health study

Following yesterday's post on the Dutch study claiming the next generation of mobile services could cause health related problems, the world's mobile phone industry replied Wednesday that it was unclear whether the next generation of wireless phones can cause headaches and nausea among the public and "that similar studies would be needed to discover identical effects before the outcome can be accepted as fact". "As the effects are small, it is unclear whether they have any health significance," the GSM Association , which represents mobile phone operators around the world, said in a written response to questions.
