Hotel Guests Get Their Messages by SMS

In what I think is a great application of SMS for the tourist business, Thai cellular provider Total Access Communication, is providing hotels with a service allowing hotel operators to send SMS to their guests, informing them of incoming calls and messages, instead of handing them notes manually or leaving messages on the voice mail service in their rooms.

Guests who do not wish to be disturbed, need not sign up for the service when they check-in.

Already 20 hotels and apartments around the country have subscribed to offer the service, which can also be used by operators of amenities at those facilities, such as restaurants or spas, according to National Multimedia.
