Cell Phone Ban May Pass In Portage

Despotism. According to this article, the mayor of Portage, Wisconsin, says he's heard enough cell phones ringinging and is backing a human resources proposal to ban 80 city employees from making or accepting any personal cell phone calls at work. Someone should bring to the attention of the Mayor and his personnel director, something known as the vibrating function. Also, this is not the dark ages where staffers are not aloud to make personal phone calls.

If a cell phone measure passes Thursday, it could take effect right away the next day.
