Counting of election votes-in-progress by SMS

In a first for India, Kerala's leading mobile company Escotel, in association with the Election Commission, will launch on September 29, a new service whereby the public can access real time electoral data on their cell phones by text messaging.

The service will provide minute-by-minute updates on who's ahead as the counting of votes take place, according to newindpress.com.
