Cell Phones as ghostbusters
Some (favorite) stories just come back to haunt you. And this is one of them. First sighted on Wap.com in the Fall of 2001, Techdirt has a post today on ghosts being afraid of cell phones.
According to Tony Cornell of the Society for Psychical Research in the UK, reports of ghost sightings started to decline over 15 years ago when mobile phones were introduced and this could prove a threat to haunted tourist attractions in Britain.
Apparently paranormal events, which some scientists put down to unusual electrical activity, could be drowned out by the electronic noise produced by phone calls and text messages.
Spirits, can you hear me now?
