Verizon Wireless sues Nextel over PTT terminology

Following Verizon Wireless launch of a push-to-talk (PTT) service, Nextel has decided to sue them for trademark infringement. According to Techdirt, the term push-to-talk coined by Nextel 10 years ago -- the only one to offer such technology -- has widely been adopted by the industry as a common term. Nextel (knowing of Verizon Wireless plans) only patented the term two months ago.
