Yahoo plans to ride India's fast-growing mobile wave

On Thursday, Yahoo! sees big mobile opportunities in India, according to an announcement by the Internet giant Thursday.

"One of the key areas in India is mobile space..It is different here than in other countries where communication is largely through PCs. Here the growth in mobile phones and other devices will drive the way information is accessed," Co-founder and CEO David Filo told reporters in India at the inauguration of a new software development facility there.
