Australian airline plans SMS check-in service

Virgin Blue has plans to launch an SMS service that will allow customers to check in using their mobile phones. The service works by sending a barcode containing reservation details to a customer's mobile phone which would be scanned at check-in. Customers will also be able to receive their itinerary via SMS.
