Cellphones abroad - Sound advice

From the NY Times via Gizmodo: To US citizens going abroad, hear hear: Leave your regular cellphone at home and avoid all those roaming charges. Instead just buy a second, unlocked phone to use overseas and buy pay-as-you-go SIM cards for each country you visit.
