Text 117 for crime and emergency reporting

The Philippine government has just launched, a centralized emergency and crime reporting service by SMS, called Text 117, reports abs-cbnnews.com.

With the launching of Text 117, residents in Metro Manila and other areas in the country could now report a crime, complaints and emergencies by sending text messages to 117.
