Phone cards can be a good call

The Mercury News looks into the advantages of pre paid phone cards, enabling people to call across the globe for a fraction of the rates charged by traditional long-distance companies.

Long popular among immigrants, their use has spread to all segments of society and annual sales of phone cards are forecasted at $3.9 billion this year compared to approximately $700 million in 1995.
