Sri Lankans can pay by SMS

Customers of Sri Lankan operator CellTel can use its 'CellWallet' service to make payments for goods and services by SMS. Users create a virtual 'wallet' by SMS, then use a web interface to register credit cards and shipping addresses. They can then carry out transactions by SMS, according to SMS: Business Gets the Message,
