Mobile game launches prior to the retail release of the console game and a Cheat Service by SMS is a big hit

Acclaim Entertainment and Vodafone have announced an exclusive agreement to offer mobile game content in Vodafone countries through Vodafone live! as of July, based on Acclaim's forthcoming Urban Freestyle Soccer video game launching in October, according to 3G. It will be the first ever mobile game to be available prior to the retail release of the console game.

SMS Marketing tie-ins with video games is the the next big thing.

And a gaming Tip and Cheat Service by SMS called Alienpants is proving to be a tremendous hit. The service allows mobile users to ask a dedicated Cheat Master for a Hint, Tip or Cheat for any computer game simply by sending a text message at a cost of £ 1.-. The service has just issued a press release annoucing that they have answered more than 10,000 requests via their premium rate SMS.
